For years, people have used vitamin C supplements to make up for the lack of vitamin C they haven’t been receiving. The body need vitamin C for growth and repair of tissues in the body; it also contains antioxidants that blocks free radical damage from getting to the rest of the body. Vitamin C has to come from another source other than the body and can’t be stored in the body.
The only way to get enough Vitamin C is through food and supplements, but did you know that all vitamin supplements come from genetically engineered corn? But, how can you get enough vitamin C? Easy, make you’re own. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on supplements, just make your own vitamin C.
When you make your own vitamin C you save the enzymes, which allows 100 percent assimilation in the body. Don’t worry about dosage labels or approval by the FDA, all you need is citrus peels. There different flavonoids in different peels, which is a compound that exhibits antioxidant properties in the human body. Naringin is a powerful antioxidant, which is a flavonoid that can be found in peels of grapefruit, mandarin, and lemons. There have been many studies that indicate that naringin is powerful that it can reduce radiation-induced damage to cells.
Hesperidin is a different flavonoid that can be found in the white inner layer of oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruits. There have been studies that show that this flavonoid reduces the proliferation of cancer cells, induces programmed cell deaths, and plays and important role in helping those with hypoglycemia. Always remember to buy organic fruits and save the peel after you’re done.
